April is shaping up to be a flavourful month in the City of Peterborough with a Mac and Cheese Festival taking over downtown for the month, cooking experiences at La Hacienda, Beer and Taco Festival at the Memorial Centre and more.
It is becoming a well-known tradition for paddlers, Peterborians, and for people looking for an iconically Canadian summer experience. Lock & Paddle at the Peterborough Lift Lock is back July 19, 2025. This signature event, held on Canada’s Parks Day, invites canoeists and kayakers to take part in a one-of-a-kind journey as they ascend the world’s highest hydraulic lift lock in a vibrant display of community and canoe culture.
March is particularly fun time to start dreaming about warmer days ahead, celebrate Peterborough's Irish heritage, and to have fun with the kids who are enjoying a break from school.
We’ve curated the must-do experiences from the region that allow you to discover the pulse of local communities, and attractions and events that capture the attention of visitors and travel experts alike.
Learn how to be a Happy (Winter) Camper at the Canoe Museum. Enjoy a spa day with your Valentine. Live music events. Pizza, pints AND skating! Whether you're a local looking for the freshest fun or a visitor exploring the city's charm, there's something exciting to do every month.
